Introduction

Towards the end of the 20th Century, there were many reports and news headlines concerning the Global Warming by environmental groups and scientists around the world voicing their dissatisfaction over the use of toxic products during/from processing of raw materials to finished products which caused the drastic climatic change. During this time, there were many imported waterproofing products which are toxic and flammable such as the solvent liquid polyurethane and sheet membrane which require torching or solvent adhesives for overlapping of joints. This will not only affect our environment but also unhealthy for the workers by inhaling.

So, during the late 90’s, being aware of the environmental conditions, Span Enterprise through their Research and Development had created a range of environmental friendly products for the building industry.

The manufactured products are from imported high grade polymer products that enable us to meet the international standards tests. All our products can be used straight from the container as they comprise of a single component. Therefore, no mixing is required in order to ensure better control and proper application or dosing according to our specifications.

Products meet international Standards

Our products are tested in our local accredited laboratories according to international standard tests that meet the requirements from the Public and Private Sectors. The main and important fact is that the products should be able to suit our local tropical climate because of the high humidity. Based on our test reports, track record and job references, which are testimony to the reliability and quality of our products supplied to contractors and waterproofing specialists.

Established Reputation and Track Record

Since our products are all water based and easy to use without any hassle, the Public Sector has been using it since 2002 and has recognized and approved for their housing projects. Since then, our products have become a familiar name associated with customers in the building industry. This is because of the trust developed over the years from our prompt services, products knowledge and the performance of individual products recommended to them which usually meet their expectations.

Quality, Production and Cost

Through our research and development, we are able to develop waterproofing products that achieve high performance without compromising on the quality. This will result on some cost saving to our customers. All our finished products are tested in-house before it can be delivered to customers to prevent any hiccup at site.

We adopt these environmentally friendly products to protect the environment and to make it safer for workers, thus not harming their health by inhaling toxic fumes from other solvent products.

We also do spot checks on our products at customers’ sites to determine on the right applications. Most of our products are single component products; therefore any foreign materials added will have an effect such as disintegration of the product or turn slurry. All our products are measured for its accuracy during production and quality control checks before exporting or delivering out from the factory.

Our products’ life span is normally for one year but locally, we usually blend our products according to our customers schedule and this enable us to deliver fresh stocks to them. If the product is more than six months old, we will normally check on its quality again to determine its performance. The expiry date and batch numbers will be printed on the containers.
